About this app

Created for those who want to stop smoking for good, the NHS Quit Smoking app is a 28 day programme that puts practical support, encouragement, and tailored clinical advice in the palm of your hand.
The evidence suggests you are 5 times more likely to quit for good if you stay smoke free for 28 days, with this in mind we will help you on your own personal journey to quit.
We’ll be with you every step of the way, helping you achieve your target, picking you up if you stumble, and celebrating your successes for 28 days - and beyond!
Every week we will provide a guide broken down into manageable chunks, giving you missions to complete and timely, useful advice.

It is an extremely helpful app. The tips, information & helpful guides etc are all great. Seeing how much money you have saved & how your body is changing daily is a great motivation. I've given up for 8 weeks now & I will continue to use the app in case I need to read info to help me & see my savings going up & just seeing the days you've not smoked is a motivation. If I can do it anyone can, as long as you want to.

Great app to monitor progress, motivate, manage cravings and get information. Let's you nominate a buddy for support. Lots of badges and reminders of why to quit. Wish the app would suggest accessing local services and provide the phone numbers. My local services have free vapes and nrt. Think the app could help a lot of people by linking to these sorts of support. Agree with others that would be good to be able to make a profile or export profile to a new phone.

It's a pretty basic and free to use stop smoking app. I quit smoking on 12th August 23, and I would accredit that to myself being ready to quit in the first place. Some of the articles are interesting, but just repeat what is easily available online anyway. Earning badges is a small thing I enjoy and found that sharing updates with your named quit buddy doesn't give you the Staying in Touch badge, or adding three quit buddies doesn't work either. I'm now on day 154 🥳🥳
