I managed to get a place at this dental surgery for my son before the pandemic in 2019, which was fantastic at the time as previously he had been going to my one in Sandy (where I am registered, I am his mother) as we are relatively new to the area that was the only NHS dentist available at the time. However, we live in Biggleswade and it was great he had finally made the top of the waiting list or so I thought then. Firstly, he was forgotten about after all the lockdowns and had to chase up a appointment for him, finally, my dentist in Sandy however didn't forget about me and was invited to my own check up sooner than my son. We was made to feel guilty that one of our son's molars had pitted, which now he had to be seen more regularly to monitor this, now his NHS registered dentist at this practice has left last year in 2022. So, my son was last seen in September 2022, been getting dental check up reminders recently only to be told to today that they have a new dentist but they are not NHS registered and would I like to go private. No, I wouldn't the whole point I got him moved to this one is that his dental care became less disruptive around his schooling and now it seems we are being forced into private care, and now I cannot put him back at my old dentist in Sandy as they also have a waiting list and been too long between visits as I moved him to this nearer dental practice for well intentioned reasons. However, I am not happy for two reasons as they forgot about my son after the lockdown period, which they admitted was an administration error and now for the disruption that we are now left without a dentist and son's dental care is suffering. He is 9 years old and should be getting regular dental care, particularly as his adult teeth are now emerging, his teeth are suffering due to the lack of dental care in this area! All children should be entitled to NHS care! It is a disgrace, this country is a disgrace!
