Your waist to height ratio is a way to measure your health alongside your body mass index (BMI).
You should try to keep your waist size to less than half your height.

You should not use this calculator to diagnose any conditions.
If you are aged 17 or under, use this calculator with a parent or carer.
Who should not use this calculator
Do not use this calculator if:
- the person you're using it for is under 5 years old
- you are pregnant
- you have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, or think you may have one
- you have a growth disorder or any other condition that affects your height
- your BMI is over 35 (this only applies to adults aged 18 and over)

Check the BMI of anyone aged between 5 and 17 before using this calculator. You can get advice about how to manage your child's weight.
