Heparinoid is a medicine that helps to prevent small blood clots from forming and reduces the swelling of the veins just under your skin.
Heparinoid is used to treat:
- bruises
- internal bruising (haematoma)
- inflamed veins near the surface of the skin caused by small blood clots – superficial thrombophlebitis
It comes as a cream or gel. The gel has an added cooling effect.
Heparinoid is available on prescription and to buy from pharmacies and shops.
