Sodium cromoglicate capsules and pregnancy
It is OK to take sodium cromoglicate capsules during pregnancy as only a small amount of medicine gets into your bloodstream. Almost none gets to your baby so it's not thought to be harmful.
Sodium cromoglicate capsules and breastfeeding
You can take sodium cromoglicate capsules while breastfeeding. It's likely that only tiny amounts will get into your breast milk, which would not be expected to cause any problems in your baby.
If you notice that your baby is not feeding as well as usual, or you have any other concerns about your baby, talk to your health visitor, midwife, pharmacist or doctor as soon as possible.
Sodium cromoglicate capsules and fertility
There's no evidence to suggest that taking sodium cromoglicate capsules reduces fertility in either men or women.
Non-urgent advice: Tell your doctor if you're:
- trying to get pregnant
