    Wife has COPD. She needed appointment to see respiratory nurse. Receptionist told her to go to local pharmacist to see if she is deserving of an appointment. Pharmacist mystified by such stupidity. Wife returned to surgery and was informed next available appointment in a month's time. Pathetic. I attend this place to see a physio, who is superb, and for blood tests, and when I do I've never counted more than four patients waiting. So how many sick people are being seen face to face. The above dabacle with my wife is just the latest in a long line of aggravation suffered at this establishment. The whole system here needs a serious overhaul and the head of the lead receptionist should roll.

    medication issue, was referred to pharmacy service to get it sorted - excellent. shoulder injury, seen at different surgery site for urgent physio assessment - excellent. No appointment, advised econsult, reviewed issue sorted ! Cannot fault.

    Previously admitted to hospital for post streptococcal glomerulephritis, which went undiagnosed by this practice for five months, I have scarring to the tops of my kidneys. Told for years by doctors at Northgate to regularly monitor my kidney function, on asking the receptionist for a blood test appointment, I was told by the receptionist who has no medical knowledge or qualifications, that I could not have a blood test to check kidney function without a consultation as there is nothing ‘on the system’…Needless to say, when I then asked for a consultation and received a short answer “there aren’t any”... A complete waste of time! The receptionists’ function in this surgery is to block patients from receiving care. There is no duty of care just ‘computer says no’

    I have applied for a doctor to asses my daughter twice on e consult for different reasons and both times she was sent to urgent care when there was no urgency mentioned as my daughter was well enough. Then I was told to see a pharmacist. My daughter is registered at Northgate not a pharmacist or the hospital. I will be changing practices as I feel their duty to care is not available at all especially for children. I never had an issue with them until now and I think it’s disgusting behaviour

    Seen the nurses this week, all were very kind seeking Gp advice immediately when i came for my dressing. All was sorted, she even went to fetch my prescription - thank you

    After asthma attack that led to hospitalisation, was sent to doctors to get an appointment in next two days. Appointment for 1 month is the best they can do. Impossible to get appointment.

    Phone consultation garbled message left by GP Surgery consultant, phone did npt ring. Waited 8 wks for review Medication. Unable to call back consultant no contact number shows up & non left in message. Had to email surgery which is now closed for training.

    I can't praise my GP high enough: she is exceptionally kind and considerate, responsive and accessible. She's been wonderful to my mother and my daughter. I wish we had more professionals like her : it makes me feel reassured about the health and wellbeing of my family. Thank you!

    I rarely attend the practice but when I do the Doctors, nurses and treatment has always been excellent. However, having visited the practice to book an appointment for something I consider needs prompt attention the first appointment available is in two and a half weeks, delaying the possible refer to a consultant. The time wait for an appointment is far too long.
