Friendly only thing I’m not liking is why do patients have to go on line and sort out appointments and exray. Surely you can go to the hospital have your exray and the results sent back to the doctor. And not all phoning around. Trying to get an appointment. But Prhapes that’s progress and I’m just old fashioned.

Once again there was an admin error in booking my appointment today. I was told to ring reception to make an appointment for a diabetic review, which I did. I was told 11:40 . When I arrived a few minutes early the auto check in did not work so I spoke to reception. First I was told that these are normally telephone appointments. I said that was unlikely as I had been asked to bring a urine sample. She checked, and said I had missed it. It was at 10:40. A verbal appointment is subject to potential error but there is nothing wrong with my hearing. I believe reception told me one thing but recorded something else in the diary . I believe this because there is a history of errors like this going back many years. I have recently turned up for an appointment, booked successfully on the auto check in, been told to wait in the upstairs waiting room and done so for an hour beyond the appointment time. On checking back with reception I was told that it was a telephone appointment , the doctor had tried to ring me ( I had my phone off or silent while in the waiting room) . After pointing out that I was told differently, had a text with location and the auto checkin had expected me, I was told ‘oh sorry, we have two different calendars and they must have got mixed up. I mention this previous example in case someone might say that they have a fool proof process and ‘the patient must have made a mistake’. I seem to keep getting texts after appointments asking for feedback. It might be better to sent texts before appointments to that both parties have a written record. Messages could also be clearer about which appointment they refer to as one might have several coming up. The Clinical aspects of the Surgery seem to be good, I have no complaints. Covid was generally handled very well. However the Administration abysmal. A few years ago I had to write to Nhs England asking if they could take the surgery into ‘special measures’ to establish ‘best practice’ processes (surely every surgery in the country has similar issues and there should be a standard set of tools and processes?). The procedures here are constantly changing. Also at the time I wrote to the Surgery Manager ( name deleted ) but got no reply. Genuinely, and without exaggeration I have found that with any admin interaction with the surgery there is about a 50% chance that something will go wrong.

Had to have an intrusive examination, the Doctor explained everything in great detail, asking me lots of questions, listening to my answers that put me at ease. An absolute credit to the NHS Service.

The nurse I saw was efficient , explained how to use the leg supports and put one on explaining carefully how to put it on me . She then supervised me putting the second one on, checking I had the straps straight. Given instructions on how to wash them. She was very pleasant throughout . I was then told when to contact her to have new ones or go back to the compression socks.

I had a phone appointment, I didn't feel at all rushed in fact The opposite. My CRP has flared and causing me great distress in conjunction With other matters in my life . My GP listened to my concerns and prescribed medicines they thought would help. I felt confident that I had been listened to and understood

My GP is a fantastic Doctor. She is very thorough and attentive. You feel totally listened too, and unrushed during an appointment. She explores all avenues to ensure everything is covered and follows up promptly. I feel totally cared for having her as my GP

My visit to see the GP was initiated by the Stubbington Medical Practice via an SMS message, totally out of the blue. The face to face consultation was thorough and in the end resulted in the doctor saying he would contact the hospital and arrange a CT scan, this he did via a specialist team for a triage to ensure a CT scan was appropriate, they phoned me two days after my GP appointment and my scan was four days after that. I am very impressed by the speed of responses even though I don't know what the outcome is yet. Thank you NHS.
