Review titled Amazing doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anne Hind - Posted on 27 August 2024
I attended A and E on 26th August 2024 with chronic pain due to a chest hernia and back pain. The doctor i saw was one of the most amazing Doctors I have ever met. He spent lots of time with me getting to the bottom of my pain issues and the reasons behind the pain due to PTSD and functional neurological disorder. He sent me home a prescription for Naproxen to take for 7 days to establish if the back pain is muscle or disc. Would you please thank this doctor on my behalf for being such a kind caring understanding patient amazing man who listened to everything I told him and sent me away with hope for my future managing my pain. He told me to get a referral to the pain management clinic via my GP, advised me to get the hernia scan and told me I am a strong lady. Would you please pass on my sincere thanks to this amazing doctor, without his support I would not be in less pain as I write this review. Once again thank you to everyone at Peterborough city hospital who have helped me over the past few months with my health issues.

Review titled I felt dismissed and unsafe leaving
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 January 2024
As I write this I am too anxious to sleep. I came in experiencing abnormal symptoms for me. Triage was great and swift but by the time I did any tests the issue I came in with had passed. After waiting 6 hours to see a nurse practitioner I felt exhausted from my symptoms but the episode had entirely passed by that point. I felt dismissed and like I wasn’t being listened to. When I tried to express that what I came in with wasn’t normal for me and in general and that was evidenced from the blood pressure and bpm from triage, her response was essentially “well it’s normal now so what do you want me to do” which was not reassuring in the slightest. It left me angry and frustrated and like I wasn’t taken seriously. I am already a highly anxious person with sleep issues. I am writing this knowing I will be staying awake all night due to the fear of if it will come back at least I will be conscious to do something. I did not feel confident or satisfied with my care and felt like I wasted my day. I wish I’d never gone and just powered through at school because not seeing anyone would have left me feeling better than I did after seeing someone and feeling let down.

Review titled My gratitude to the NHS
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Stephen Sandford - Posted on 26 November 2023
Dear Emergency Medical Teams, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your exceptional care during my recent A&E admission at Hinchingbrooke from home. Your swift response, professionalism and dedication were truly remarkable. Each team member's pivotal role was immensely appreciated. The anxious moments prior to your arrival turned into immense relief when you reached me within ten minutes. Your precision in handling numerous calls and prioritising was remarkable. The first responder, paramedic, immediately took control and with a reassuring demeanor, comforted my family, while his vigilance and quick decisions were highly professional and valid. Special thanks to the Ambulance team for their exceptional care during transit, ensuring my comfort and for their compassionate nature in allowing my wife to join us. The seamless process in A&E, especially during my deterioration, highlighted their remarkable efficiency. The rapid response and adeptness were heroic when my condition took a serious downturn, offering immense comfort to myself and my supporting wife. To the phenomenal NHS team, your dedication, expertise, and compassionate care are and will always be the pride of our nation. Your selfless efforts have left an indelible mark on my heart and my family's. Thank you for your invaluable service and tireless dedication. With deepest respect and heartfelt gratitude.
