Just over a month ago I was involved in an RTC, I was took to Russels Hall via ambulance and was gave a bed in A&E upon arrival. I had encounters with many different staff, all of them were really friendly and helpful. The hospital was also very clean. I would like to say thank you so much to the trust and ambulance service for all your help.

I attended the Guest X-ray and the whole process was extremely proficient Clear instruction from Reception. I was called through almost immediately and the 2 female radiographers (names clearly marked on the board and introduction made) were highly professional, efficient and kind in that they allowed me time due to my breathlessness. Could not fault the experience

Review titled Very caring experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Bonita Clayton - Posted on 30 May 2024
I presented at a&e Monday evening 27th May, after experiencing stroke like symptoms. The care and at speed which I received was excellent. I was admitted early hours of Tuesday morning and taken to cubicles where my care continued. Thankfully I was discharged Tuesday afternoon after discussions with stroke consultant. I am being monitored and having further tests as an outpatient. I was also referred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for an unexpected problem, for which I am very grateful. I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone for looking after me, from the minute I arrived in a&e. Big thank you also for the coffee and toast, after dark in a&e. Thank you ladies.

Review titled Wonderful Team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jo Green - Posted on 28 May 2024
My 10 year old daughter was admitted via ED with suspected appendicitis. She was seen promptly by all relevant teams and had surgery later that evening. The Emergency Theatre team in particular were exceptional in easing her nerves and were so kind to her. All of the staff on the Childrens ward were wonderful too.

Review titled About the NHS portal

My husband is 85 years old. He is not technically minded, and my own experience is limited. He has a mobile phone, but it is Not a Smartphone. This morning (a Bank holiday) he has received a text message which said "This is an important letter from the Dudley Group Nhs Foundation Trust for (His First Name). Please log in on your Smartphone, tablet or pc using the following link with Pin ____ and your date of birth. Thank you. (name of link) (followed by a code)." End of message. It was with great difficulty that we read this message on his tiny screen. He does not have a Smartphone, or a table, or a personal computer, although he does have a laptop, but he is very inexperienced. He had no idea what to do about this. I understood that he needed to open a website, so tried to help him to do that on his laptop, but it was too difficult for both of us. We tried to phone our surgery or send an online message to them to ask for help. But that was not possible; the surgery is closed and those services are not available to us. The only alternative their messages offer is dial 111 or 999. For about an hour we have tried many ways to proceed, but it is beyond us. Please can you Not send us messages in this way? We need proper letters, without the proper technology we are lost and don't know what to do. I don't think you should assume that all nhs users can access information this way; many of us can't. Trying to send this I am told the system can't cope with words in all capital letters. So it can't understand nhs or pc, etc. Your technology is incompetent, yet you expect us to be. And it says I can’t use a website address, so I have adapted that.

Review titled Amazing service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sue - Posted on 06 March 2023
I had an appointment in January 2023 but was unable to attend so rang appointments to change it, no problem at all. When I went to Corbett dermatology I was seen on time, by a lovely registrar, who was helped by a lovely young CSW. The registrar went through all my previous appointments, I felt she was really taking an interest. During the appointment she wanted a second opinion from the consultant, so then the consultant came in, spoke to me so that I understood exactly what I'd got to do. I had a thorough examination. I was in for 50minutes, sorry for anyone that was waiting. I couldn't have had better treatment if I'd have gone private. Thank you so much, Sue W
