  1. Review titled Fantastic service with a smile

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Went to A&E after my Mum had a fall. We were immediately sent to urgent care. Again, we were seen very quickly and received the best care from a fantastic, fun and friendly team. They took such good care of my Mum and made her feel so at ease. We were in and out in no time and her broken bones were plastered up with care. We returned two days later to get the cast looked at and luckily one of the same team was still there. They treated my Mum with such kindness and reassured her that all was healing well. I would love to add the names of the members of staff to this review but I know that is not allowed. I hope that they get the praise they deserve though for making a stressful situation much better through their kindness. Thank you!

__Youcef Houti__ _Dear Epsom Hospital Team,(AMU.ward) I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to every member of the team who has been involved in my care since I arrived here on February 28, 2025. Over the past days, I have experienced the highest level of support, both physically and mentally, that I have ever received in my life. Your exceptional dedication to not only addressing the medical aspects of my care but also ensuring my privacy and emotional well-being has been beyond words. From the very first day, I have been consistently impressed by the professionalism, warmth, and genuine concern shown by all staff members. The medical team, along with the psychiatric team, has gone above and beyond in understanding the causes of my pain and providing me with the necessary treatment and care. I have also been fortunate to receive daily visits and attention, which has made me feel both supported and valued. As I prepare for surgery tomorrow, I wanted to take a moment to stand up and express my sincere thanks to each and every one of you. The work you do is truly life-saving, and I feel blessed to be in your hands. Your commitment to providing the best possible care has not only helped me recover but also uplifted my spirits during a very challenging time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do. You all are a true embodiment of kindness, skill, and compassion, and I will forever be grateful for the incredible care I've received at Epsom Hospital. With heartfelt thanks,

  3. Review titled Great service under extreme pressure

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My husband was treated yesterday at Epsom hospital. He had been advised by NHS 111 to attend hospital via an ambulance as hexwas suffering from chest tightness and breathing problems. I drove him to hospital at 1520 and left him in A&E as there was showing a 7 hour wait !! He was triaged and given excellent care. Hechad scans and bloods taken. Put on a drip to get his temp down. The staff were all very kind and caring even tho they were under extreme pressure regarding numbers that were in the hospital. I collected him at 2330 with his antibiotics and a plan going forward to make sure his infection is resolved.

I have just been discharged from Swift ward (I think that was the name) after having day surgery today and the overall experience was great. I was admitted at 12:30 and was going down for surgery by just after 13:30 which was brilliant. The nurse in the surgical unit was incredible and they were short of a receptionist so she was doing absolutely everything without a single complaint or showing any signs of not wanting to be there. She was so warm and friendly and really relaxed me before surgery. Then the anaesthetist, surgeon and student anaesthetist were great. They were keeping my spirits up and showed so much care and attention. Followed by my surgeons who I absolutely adore as I’ve been with them regularly for over a year now and the nurses on the ward it was overall a really lovely experience despite it being an unpleasant (and repeated) surgery. The staff at Epsom hospital work so hard and it’s so nice to see them happy and laughing when you know their job is definitely not easy. They hey do not get enough credit for what they do to make every patient feel cared for.

  5. Review titled Excellent Treatment & Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have just had my second session with the Hand Therapy, Care Therapy Services after having my wrist in plaster for 6 weeks as a result of a Colles' Fracture. The treatment at A&E was excellent and the follow up at the Fracture Clinic and now Care Therapy were equally excellent. Thank you so much for your care and attention.

  6. Review titled Fantastic care on Christmas Day in difficult conditions

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by James - Posted on 02 January 2025

I got admitted on Christmas Day with a severe chest infection, the staff (with what would have been a difficult day for many reasons) were attentive, considerate, kind and professional. I'd like to personally thank the team working that day who looked after me. I run a company making medical devices and just goes to show no one is immune and the importance of looking after and monitoring your own health. Since then I've fully recovered and just had a follow up call from the hospital asking how I am. Thank you for everything you do.

  7. Review titled Appalling Accident & Emergency

Rated 1 star out of 5

Was referred by 111 to utc. Arrived to be told it was shut - it wasn’t - so ended in a&e. The experience was shockingly bad. Anyone who finds themselves in a&e understands there are issues but when there is no management or leadership in a department, you have a situation where there is no one to help ensure that people understand their situation as part of the overall Unit function. We were lied to when we arrived. Ongoing there was no communication with patients on an individual or group basis about ongoing issues and delays and it’s seriously hard to reconcile that people are working flat out when nursing staff are sat around laughing and joking at their desks when people who were advised of a 3/4 hour wait on arrival and are still sat 5/6 hours later. The reception desk are brilliant and don’t deserve to have to cover for their higher paid colleagues. In submitting this review it has been rejected 3 times because I included words only in capitals - these were the accepted abbreviations of your departments!

  9. Review titled Caring staff

Entire visit from A & E to the Diabetic Clinic was one that showed compassion and caring. Staff explained how Diabetes can be controlled and staff spent time showing us injection techniques and sharing her knowledge. The receptionist made us very welcome and the dietician and specialist nurse gave us confidence by providing knowledge in a caring manner. Thank you all so much for your time.

  10. Review titled Great Care

Had my first child under the care of Epsom antenatal and at Epsom Hospital maternity unit. The whole team across the nine months and for the birth were amazing. The care I got for the birth was everything I’d have wanted. I know a few women who’ve had their babies under the care of Epsom and all speak very highly. The midwives were caring, attentive and made me feel safe and looked after throughout. They are the prime example of the kind of people you want working in the NHS caring for you at your most vulnerable.
