Had to have blood sample take on the afternoon of of 13 December 2024. Warm welcome and painless and stress free taking of samples, despite my fear of needles.

Review titled Dismissive and lack of care or correct treatment
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Sarah - Posted on 12 September 2024
Went through Nhs111 process- advised by a clinician to attend Urgent Care Centre, nearest being High Wycombe. Checked in with reception and awaited to be seen- after some time the triage nurse called me in. Explained symptoms again and she advised there’s no time to see me today and she suggested I go to the late night pharmacy to get antibiotics for the suspected Urine Tract Infection. I stated I was feeling particularly poorly and don’t have transport and as I have patiently waited having been advised to attend by 111, it would be prudent to have the urine at least checked with a dipstick to rule out infection because I had had antibiotics recently and didn’t wish to take them again unnecessarily. The reception had given me a pot and I had provided a sample already. She stated that wouldn’t be done because it would mean putting me in the system. I don’t see the point of being asked to go to UTc, travelling there and then having to wait only to be turned away. A urine dipstick test takes a moment and it would have been a case of being treated correctly. The attitude given was on of little care or concern and by asking a question she simply showed a lack of regard - almost the eye rolling motion reflected in her speech. Poor and a lack of duty of care given.

Review titled Thankyou for your wonderful care.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julie Carden - Posted on 19 April 2024
My elderly mother spent 11 days on Ward 8. The whole team of Occupational, Speech and Language, Physio therapists; Nurses; Housekeepers; Doctors; Pharmacist; were caring, kind, thorough, respectful, friendly, professional, efficient- even with across county border social care referral. Even with pressures of shortage of staff and extremely busy times. I especially appreciated the respect in speaking directly to my mother rather than just to me (which so often happens elsewhere). Thankyou for helping us through a stressful, worrying time 🙂

Review titled Highly incompetent

An embarrassment that they would keep someone in late 80's for more than 14 hours , they make you wait 4 and more hours just to discharge , I guess we live in an era of take taxpayers money and give back not much in return

Review titled Terrible patient service
Rated 1 star out of 5

This trust is absolutely hopeless with no response. I left a message to a voice message that said calls will be responded to in the afternoon. That was 5 days ago. On calling the consultant, the secretary responded to the phone call and started to provide medical advice and proceeded to give diagnosis on a very complicated situation with no empathy whatsoever. It has driven me to private practice. What happens to people who cannot afford private care? Now they are relying on advice from secretaries with no medical training? Absolutely terrible place. A street vendor May have better bed side manners than those who operate this trust!
