  2. Review titled Impossible to Speak to a Human Being

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Martin Webber - Posted on 13 March 2023

I received a text message reminding me of an appointment (in three days time) of which I knew nothing and had never been told about. So I called the number given (Outpatients, I think) but could not get through to a human being. I tried again and again and again without success. I spent hours calling over and over again but was never able to speak to anyone. I also called the main hospital number and was put through to extensions that rang and rang and did not answer. I have spent hours and hours trying to contact the hospital about this mysterious appointment but have not been able to speak to a human being at any time. Utterly ridiculous. It is impossible to have confidence in such a shambolic organisation.

  5. Review titled Daughter possible sepsis

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 January 2023

We were sent to WHH yesterday evening after seeing an out of hours GP at the local walk in centre when my daughter had an extremely high temperature, slight rash, not able to wee and high pulse rate. We were seen swiftly at WHH, staff were polite, helpful and reassuring. The department was very busy but the staff maintained communication, continued to check my child’s observations etc. After a few hours she was sent home with medication for another ear infection with the reassurance we could return if she was unwell. Thank you

  6. Review titled Awful waiting time…

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 January 2024

I was advised by my GP I would have an Ugent referral due to the level of pain I’m experiencing and due to the fact I have a cyst that could burst any day now only for my referral to come through for next year... Unbelievably disappointed that given the urgency needed you are making we wait over a year…

  7. Review titled When you get paid to do a job, you should be competent

by Andrew - Posted on 01 November 2022

I bought in an elderly friend for an X-Ray (83 years old). The form that she had been given was not signed. Obviously, this issue was due to lack of care/competency at her GP, however, the person booking in at X-Ray was rude and just tried to get rid of us, stating 'go back to GP, they are expecting you'. This is ridiculous - it's not my friend's fault. I took her home and she then took 30 minutes of calling to even get through to her GP. She was then told to ring a different hospital for another appointment. Total lack of, not only competency, but moral decency from several members of the NHS.
