Review titled Excellent Eye department Frimley Park
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 March 2025
The eye department at Frimley Park Hospital is excellent. After a major illness (Miller Fischer Syndrome) my sight was seriously impacted. The care i have received from the NHS has been excellent. This department is efficient, effective, user-friendly covering all staff from reception, phone booking to the specialists. With deep appreciation for your facilitating the normalisation of my eyesight over the past year , including for driving.

My husband has just received a Copy of his discharge letter from when he was in Wexham Park Hospital Seven months ago. It seems a complete waste of NHS money when he had the same letter in August last year. I read through all Nine pages to ensure there was nothing extra to worry about.

Review titled Wexham Park take a bow
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gareth Pugh - Posted on 24 September 2024
I spent 2 weeks in Wexham Park having a replacement hip fitted following a fall outside my home. I was admitted late on Monday evening August 26th and after a short stay in A&E was admitted and operated onthe following day following visits by Consultants and anaethetists. I was admitted to Ward 2 where I spent 2 weeks recovering. As a residual tetraplegic this wasn't straightforward. However the standard of care I received was first class. Firstly the doctors and consultants were regular visitors always walking me through the operation both pre and post op and helping me to understand the challenges that lay ahead. Next the nursing staff were excellent and were always attentive and ready to attend to my needs some of which were a bit challenging. I have to give a special call out to the Physios who worked so hard to get me back on my feet working through walking frames to managing stairs and then managing to be discharged using elbow crutches thereby removing the need for me to have a hospital bed delivered to my home. I cannot praise them highly enough and am extremely grateful for all their help and support. Finally the Occupational Therapy team managed my rehab needs and discharge requirements very effectively. I have to admit I was apprehensive about going to Wexham Park as I had heard some negative comments but I have to give a well earned thank you to all the doctors, physios, Occupational Therapists and nurses. Even the food wasnt too bad!!

Review titled excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mary - Posted on 22 August 2024
I had to attend Day surgery 2 a few days ago, from the time I arrived to leaving the care was very good. The staff were friendly, professional and caring as well as being very informative, Everything was explained and I was able to ask as many questions as needed. I even had a telephone call next day to ask how I was feeling. My only criticism is that the sinage for Day care surgery 2 is not clear when you arrive at the main entrance, fortunately a member of staff helped and we were directed to the children and maternity area which is the Green Zone, nothing to say about this at the Day surgey main entrance. Thankyou to every one

Review titled Confusing Information.
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by C.B - Posted on 29 July 2024
I have now now had a total of three cancelled outpatient appointments with urology at Heatherood, a fourth appointment has now been made a week later, each time I have questioned this I have been told that there is no clinic being held on the date the appointment was made for, then why make an appointment, and then contact the patient to say there is no clinic ?. I now have a new date and time, but when contacting appointments I was informed that no Urology Consultants were available for Clinics, not very reassuring, and am fully expecting to have the next appointment cancelled. We are constantly reminded how much it costs the n.h.s when patients fail to show for Outpatient appointments, but what of the cost to patients when their appointments are constantly cancelled, and plans have to be re arranged ?. Incidentally the messages I have on my Frimley Health Record state: Cancel reason Pre- Operative Guidance Not Followed, however I am attending an outpatients appointment for Histology results not having an operation, so perhaps someone could explain what this is supposed to mean ? Waiting for Histology results is never pleasant, particularly when appointments are constantly cancelled, hopefully the next appointment will go ahead as planned, but I am not confident it will.

Review titled Bad experience
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 May 2024
I called the respiratory department to inquire about my recent GP referral. I got through to a very rude lady who started being rude to me about my previous appointments. Honestly, I just called for an update, and now I'm scared to ever call the hospital again.

I attended St Marks on Friday 15th March. I went to have wax extracted from my ears and the lady was really helpful and tried to overcome a problem I had, whereby wax in my right ear couldn't be shifted. She was showing great care and was very helpful for which I thanked her for
