Review titled Excellent treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by PAULINE Anne Britton - Posted on 26 September 2024
Having been concerned about a lump in my breast I was referred by my gp to the pru breast clinic. I was seen within the 2 week pathway procedure -and had efficient and swift treatment on the day including a mammogram. both doctors I saw were professional courteous friendly and reasuring and so were all nurses/staff who spoke to me. I could not have asked for better treatment.

Review titled Excellent Heart Team (TAVI)
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Howard Leigh - Posted on 22 August 2024
I was admitted for a TAVI (aortic valve repair) on 19th August. Unfortunately this was delayed until 20th due to emergencies (they do happen!). The TAVI is done under sedation, not full anaesthesia. It took about 1 hour and I was fully conscious. The doctors kept me fully informed of each step they were taking and what I might feel. Fascinating! I actually enjoyed every minute of it. And I now have a reconditioned heart! The whole stay, my wife & I were so impressed by the kindness and efficiency of the nursing team and the TAVI team of doctors and nurses. The next day, fully checked, I was allowed to go home under the supervision of my wife. I can only say how impressed I was by the professionalism of the team who worked on me. Thank you one and all. PS don’t choose toast for breakfast. That’s my only criticism…

Review titled Great Service at sexual health clinic
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sophie - Posted on 16 July 2024
I went to the clinic because my contraception failed and Nurse C made me feel so much better. She organised a referral to the Early Pregnancy Unit at Kings for the same day just hours later and then she called me later that day to check everything was all ok. My phone did die during the call but she then called me back! Amazing follow up and I feel a lot better about a scary situation. Thanks C and everyone at the Camberwell Sexual health centre :)

Review titled Excellent treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5

During my emergency visit to KCH I was treated with dignity, respect and good humour by each and every member of staff we encountered, from the paramedics through to the Cardiac unit and staff at A&E. At a time of great anxiety for me and my family, their care and humour made the entire process calm and reassuring. Care was given to ensure that l was properly isolated owing to immune suppression. Tests were carried out quickly, despite the recent cyber attack slowing things down. While the circumstances of my visit were not ideal, my experience was. My family and I are very grateful to the staff at KCH and the London Ambulance paramedics

Review titled Not the best
Rated 2 stars out of 5

The doctor or nurse who saw me I felt like she was dismissive and was rushing. I felt like I wasn’t being listened to. I have tonsillitis and someone who has asthma it’s important to check my chest she forgot her stethoscope. She prescribed me nasal spray as I’m congested and I explained to her my pharmacy is closed on a Sunday so I will need to go Monday. She said it’s open I just checked. I know my pharmacy and they are always closed on Sunday and I even saw them closed on my way home. Before all of this happened the receptionist asked for my surname but not my first name and put down my twin brother’s name. I explained to a colleague that she didn’t ask for my first name. I would rate my experience 5/10.

Following day surgery appointment I cannot praise every member of staff who I came into contact with. This is from the minute of walking into the reception, right through to nurses, surgeons and everyone involved in my procedure.

Review titled Bad practice
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Gizmo - Posted on 20 May 2024
When I attended A&E with my daughter as she was really unwell at registration she asked me to go in with her and the nurse went no sit there my daughter went I want her in.i then said she is an adult her choice no nurse went sit down.then later on we saw same nurse go to a patient quite aggressively do not get up off chair because if you fall on floor I am not picking you up.she had bad way of talking to people. The only time I was allowed to go in with my daughter was majors.I think staff need to check guidelines as they use guidelines and protocol when it suits them
