Just had a hernia operation. Everyone from porters to nurses and doctors who interacted with me were very helpful caring professionals. Very impressed. I'd like to acknowledge that and thank them all.

Review titled 0 Rating

Endoscopy.1&2 days before the appointment they called me 2 times just for make sure i can still attend & i confirmed yes I"ll come. For the bronchoscopy Im willing to and started my fast. I came to the hospital early..they called my name, checked my body, took me to the room. The man came into to my room said “u will bronchoscopy today ok just wait in this room". I lay in the room for several hours for the bronchoscopy then they said schedule full today so u cant bronchoscopy today ! then a man V* endoscopy team told me to leave the room because this room will be used by another patient with no apology+unapologetic for what they did, didn't talk nice to me, very rude & challange me to write a bad review for him with his rude style. Not polite at all, absolutely inhumane, should get Zero rating. How come? They was sent me an appointment letter+called me by phone 2 time for appoitment, when i came & waited several hours they said bronchocopy full already today. Awful

Review titled Great experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 February 2024
Gave birth at Kingston Hospital in December and am really grateful for the care I received. The doctors in theatre were so professional and took the time to make me feel reassured, and every single midwife I encountered in the two nights we stayed after the birth was genuinely really lovely and took the time to give us advice and make sure we were coping well. The follow up care also excellent. The stay itself was extremely comfortable and the entire time I felt in really safe hands.

Review titled Friendly and efficient service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alison Ledgerwood - Posted on 08 December 2023
I referred myself to Kingston A & E on Thursday morning with a suspected fractured ankle, expecting to be there for hours and hours. In fact I was in and out in just under two hours, having been examined, x-rayed and provided with a stick and special boot. All the staff from the receptionist, to the nurses and the radiologists, were friendly and very efficient. It was not my first trip to Kingston A & E and my experience previously was just as good. One hears of so many complaints about the NHS and I just wanted to contribute my few words of praise and thanks for an excellent service.

Review titled Great visit to Urogynae outpatients
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julie S - Posted on 30 November 2023
I’ve had to wait a very long time for this appointment at Urogynae outpatients but it was worth the wait . The lead consultant I saw was friendly, interested, personable and approachable. All great attributes for a Dr. I came out feeling heard and reassured Thanks to all the team

Review titled CDU daytime 24 Oct 2023
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Michele Lunn - Posted on 25 October 2023
Head nurse and assistant were so caring and efficient, even though some challenging patients took time. They were more concerned about us than their breaks. They knew the answer to everything or they found out. Really good daytime treatment.

Review titled Amazing Telephone appointment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Celine Matthews - Posted on 18 June 2023
Just want to say how wonderful telephone appointments are. Great appointments when we don’t need to be seen and just need advice when we are worried. No time and money wasted driving there and back, founding a place for parking that can take more than 30 minutes, paying for car park not knowing how long we will stay or founding someone to take us, pollution, waiting for your turn, sometimes long delays in a waiting room full of people with different conditions that you can catch or give. With telephone appointments you can stay in the confort of your own home with your family and friends or have it from your office and you don’t need to take a day off as going to the hospital can take half a day or more! Honestly I am so impressed with Kingston hospital, the staff is lovely and smiling You can see they like their job and try the best even with lots of people having to be seen in short space if time. I had an appointment this morning at 8.00 on Sunday 18/6, on Father’s Day. How brilliant is that! I suppose it was a great advantage for me as today I am chicken sitting at my son’s house in West Sussex and it would have taken me 2 hours driving. Same for the doctors and specialists they can work from their home. However I understand that some people have to be seen due to hearing, or if technology is not for them but great if they don’t have transport and someone can assist them with this new system. If I could add something maybe as well as telephone appointments video call could be an option on WhatsApp for example. Again thank you for introducing this system since Covid at the GP, for me I can only see the positive of it and only need to visit hospital for test and surgery. Kind regards

Review titled Poor interpersonal behaviour by surgeon
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 July 2023
Leaving an unsatisfactory discussion with my son about my care, the surgeon said to the nurse accompanying him in a manner meant to be heard by my son " God, what do these people expect" . My son was tempted to reply ' civility and respect' but he bit his tongue.
