Review titled Blood taking unit is amazingly efficient
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 October 2024
Very organised and efficient. Don’t worry if you are still in the queue at your booked time slot. You get a numbered ticket when you’ve checked in and they get through lots of people in good time. I’ve been a few times now. It would be great if there was a sign outside explaining how the ticketing system works so that first timers aren’t getting stressed because they are queuing to check in past their appointment time.

Review titled Terrible Care and Communication Skills
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 September 2024
A Dr saw me for 10 minutes after I waited 2 hours, didn’t even ask me about why I had attended my appointment for my eyes. Instead read a paragraph summary of a referral and then gave me eye drops. When challenged on this he responded with if I wanted to get rid of you as fast as possible I would have just written you a prescription. Dr proceeds to give me a prescription then leave. So in essence he told me how he was going to fob me off and then did exactly that. Waste of time attending no compassion or care at all.

Review titled Fantastic care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Paul Lewis - Posted on 24 August 2024
Went in for a hip replacement, staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. Put at ease throughout my stay and nothing was too much trouble. In the anaesthetic department the lady helping was perfect for the role; both bubbly positive and very reassuring to help me relax. On Compton Ward the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A huge thank you to everyone that was involved with my care

Review titled Brilliant service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lyn Rosier - Posted on 07 August 2024
Attended vascular studies for ultra scan to be followed by appointment with nurse. I was seen punctually and with respect and care, fully informed of procedure. I was then seen by both a consultant and senior consultant, they did not have a booked appointment but were flexible enough to squeeze me in so I didn't have the dreaded wait for results. They will not realise how this was appreciated in their very busy schedules. I was treated with care and respect by everyone I encountered. Thank you

Review titled Excellent on every level
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Elizabeth Fleming - Posted on 31 July 2024
Was in an accidental fire. Paramedic and ambulance and fire brigade all arrived within 14 minutes. I was treated with the utmost respect and my burns were tended to by staff at the top of their game. I can't thank the staff of A&E enough for their care in what is a constantly busy department. Bless you all!

Review titled Cardiology appointment line
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Colin Arthur Ellis - Posted on 28 June 2024
The telephone line to Cardiology appointments is not being answered. On Friday 28th June I was on the line for four hours the waiting line reduced as expected but when it reached queue number one nothing happened for 42 minutes. Totally I spent almost 3 hours trying to get through. I also tried the on-line service which did not recognise my wife's referral details. This is not only not acceptable but thoroughly frustrating. Phone lines should never not be attended. My faith in the service is slowly evaporating.
