  1. Review titled Excellent help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I came home from golf not feeling to good within an hour I had a heart attack my wife rang 999 and they talked her through doing CPR, the ambulance and paramedics arrived very quickly followed by the Air Ambulance. Everybody was very professional and soon had me settled, I was placed on a stretcher and driven to QA Hospital where I had 4 stents fitted the next day I was woken up and have been recovering ever since. I can not praise everyone who helped enough right from the operator on the phone to the paramedics and ambulance crew and the doctors and nurses at QA they truly are hero’s in my book.

  2. Review titled The paramedics and the stroke team were amazing!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vicky Watkinson - Posted on 07 October 2024

On the morning of Saturday, September 28th, we received the shocking news that my 69-year-old mother had suffered a stroke. She experienced complete paralysis on the right side of her body, rendering her unable to move, walk, or talk. Thanks to the incredible work and prompt arrival of the paramedics from the South Coast Ambulance Service, who quickly assessed and stabilised her, my mother was swiftly transported to the qa hospital. Upon arrival, the Stroke team was ready and guided us through the process, from expediting her ct scan to administering a clot-busting injection. She was then transferred with the same ambulance crew to Southampton General for a Thrombectomy before returning to the qa, where she stayed in ward F4 room 31 for several days for assessment and monitoring. We have nothing but praise for every member of the team, including the consultants, nurses, Health Care Assistants, physiotherapists, kitchen team, porters and the many other people working behind the scenes too. They were all polite, and friendly, and took the time to introduce themselves and be patient, even during what was clearly a very busy and non-stop period for them. Without the fast help of each of these extraordinary individuals, my mother would have been unlikely to return home. We are forever grateful.

Had to visit St Mary’s walk-in today, from the lady on reception to the triage nurse and the doctor. I couldn’t fault how well looked I was. Amazing Job Thank you.

  4. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Attended Emergency Care Centre first for serious finger injuries. Staff were wonderful, fingers assessed and dressed and well looked after in case I fainted. Referred to Plastic Surgery the next day, Doctor and nurse were really kind, explained all that they did so I could understand it and then completely painlessly sewed the mangled ends of my two injured fingers up. Wonderful service.

  5. Review titled Positive Feedback with QA

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This week I had two appointments at different clinics, Maxillofacial and Breast clinic. Both appointments were running incredibly efficient despite the high number of appointments for people in the Breast clinic! In between the mamagramme, ultrasound and seeing the consultant I only had to wait 10 minutes each time. Absolutely everyone I spoke to no matter what their job was were very kind, polite and professional! I was so impressed I posted my experience on Facebook (Fareham Matters) which you can see. The response was just amazing of everyone’s positivity and praise for the entire hospital. Almost 350 likes from people and many reviews of experiences. My post… I would just like to give a shout out to QA hospital. I had 2 appointments in 2 different departments on Tuesday, Maxillofacial and Breast clinics. I was so impressed at how smoothly and efficiently the clinics were running. The consultants, nurses and staff were incredibly polite and helpful. I’m not writing this for a debate and I’m aware of waiting times for A&E and operations. I simply wanted to say thank you to any Consultants, doctors, nurses, administrators, domestic staff etc … for your dependable caring work! Well done QA Many thanks indeed! Ruth Norris (Fareham)
