Dear Sir Paul, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience at the Royal Free Hospital - we're sorry for the delay in this response as we can see it was posted in November, however we've just received notification of it. It's great to read that everything is okay now following your surgery. If you would like us to extend your thanks to the surgeon or team concerned, you can email us at rf.patientexperience@nhs.net and we'll do that for you. With best wishes this festive season - the patient experience team

Review titled No empathy or care
Rated 1 star out of 5

Came in with a suspected broken finger. After waiting 2 hours for x Ray results I recieved a call my brother in law had died. I asked the lead nurse if she could help out as if my finger wasn't broken I'd need to leave to be with my fiancee. Not only was she unsympathetic and was rude and condescending and said I'd need to choose between the results or my fiancee. She then turned her back on me and when I pleaded with her she said I can't tell you again now are you leaving or not. So I could have a potentially broken bone which I won't find out because I obviously had to prioritise a death in the family.

Tried to call and ask for an appointment to be rescheduled. 4 times on hold for 17 minutes plus (over 1hour an 15 minutes), then disconnected.
