  1. Review titled General Surgery - a brilliant service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jeremy - Posted on 01 September 2024

I want to give the whole General Surgery team a big thank you! They were very friendly, caring, professional and efficient in the face of a large case load. The pathway to my operation was clearly laid out for me, all my questions and concerns were dealt with very well. Post op I was again cared for very well and never rushed while being monitored through the stages involved in getting ready for the trip home. Most importantly, the outcome of my day case surgery seems really good. Again, thank you all!

  2. Review titled Wonderful A&E care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Neil Hardman - Posted on 16 February 2024

I am writing to thank you and your wonderful team who treated me during my recent visit to Accident & Emergency on 10th February. I have been a bit unfortunate with my health – in and out of hospital over the past few years. Your team at the Royal United not only treated me but cared for me wonderfully well. It is immensely reassuring to know that patients like me are in such safe hands. So, thank you – not just for fixing us, but for going the extra mile, often under exceedingly difficult circumstances. It means the world, especially when people are struggling, and it gives us hope that everything is going to be okay. I wanted to let you know that your team got me back on my feet, and I will never forget that. Thank you. With best wishes, Neil Hardman

Apologies that I can’t remember your name, but I remember you. You sign posted my partner straight away to the right ward and checked in on him later in the day on the surgical ward. If you see this I just want you to know that it was much appreciated and you are very good at your job :)

Cardiology Could not leave a poor review for treatment in October 2023. Attended Royal United Hospital October 2023 as requested only to find no one was aware of appointment! No apology or acknowledgement from hospital Unfortunately, person passed away. Bereavement hospital were brilliant in dealing with all aspects, can't fault.

  6. Review titled Excellence in care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ivor Sutton - Posted on 13 September 2023

Many thanks to all the staff in Ambultary care. I was treated Monday in Ambulatory care department of the Royal United Hospital for a bad case of cellulitis in my right leg I could not have been treated better. All the staff nurses and Doctors were lovely and made me feel comfortable and at home Extra special thanks to the Dr who treated me was so very Knowledgable about my condition and explained it all to me in detail and in plain english An absolute credit to the NHS. So when I was discharged I felt 100% better than when I was admitted

  7. Review titled Excellent emergency care for chest pain

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 September 2023

I had excellent care recently for chest pain. Many thanks. I had heard previously sometimes women's chest pain symptoms can be more subtle and sometimes put down to other things. I found this was not the case with tests carried out quickly and everyone was really kind. Many thanks

My daughter received brilliant care when she was admitted for her tonsillectomy. We were kept informed and the surgeon, anaesthetist and nurses and HCA's were all wonderful.

  9. Review titled First Class Switchboard

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Elizabeth Morrison - Posted on 23 February 2023

Every Wednesday I phone my elderly Aunt in Bristol. Became concerned when I couldn't make contact and as iam from Glasgow I remembered 2 hospitals that she could be in. I contacted Bath and straight away was answered by a very articulate woman who connected me to relevant ward. After this the nurse that answered the elderly acute ward passed my aunt with a mobile phone and also gave me the number should we get cut off. It was lovely having the 5 mins with her and to find out what had happened. Once again thanks to all for looking after her.
