  1. Review titled Great practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Graham Bradshaw - Posted on 16 June 2024

On Thursday 13 June I underwent a gastropathy, which is not a very comfortable experience. However it was made considerably better due to the brilliant nursing staff. They were efficient in filling out the necessary paperwork but, more importantly, they were endlessly patient and caring. I was glad to hear them joking between themselves because the work must be stressful at times. I cannot speak too highly of their good humour and the way they helped me to get through the experience. There is always debate on the financing of the health service but their dedication and caring attitude is truly priceless. I am very grateful to every one of them.

  2. Review titled Excellent A&E experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sarah - Posted on 19 May 2024

Dropped in to King's Mill A&E after advice from 111. I was seen very promptly, with smooth passage of information between departments. I was in, x-rayed and out of A&E within the hour. Staff were approachable, very professional and kind, thank you for a quick and pleasant service.

Brought my 87 year old Mum to Clinic 12 she was understandably very nervous , the care kindness and professionalism she recieved throughout her visit was outstanding, she was reassured and put at ease by the very caring Nurse and the Consultant who took his time to make sure she understood everything. Thankyou for caring

Thanks for treating for my 85 year old dad, who was rushed to hospital last week. The whole team, especially the paramedics were great. We are very grateful for your care and professionalism. Thank you.

  5. Review titled Newark Urgent Care Centre

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lindsay - Posted on 22 July 2023

Thankyou to all the staff my daughter and I encountered yesterday evening at the Newark Urgent Care Centre. The lady on reception, the 1st contact nurse, the radiologist, the 2nd contact nurse and student nurse made us feel as if we were the first people they had seen (and we arrived at 19.30 so toward the end of shift). We were seen promptly, they communicated clearly with my daughter and made her feel at ease. Their conduct was kind, patient centred and professional and all had a smile. Thankyou! Please pass this onto the team.

  6. Review titled amazing midwifes!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Holly Tunnicliffe - Posted on 10 January 2024

I gave birth to my daughter in April last year. I had planned on giving birth alone due to my circumstances. The team was made aware of this, on the 18th of April I was induced at Kings Mill and the experience was nothing short of amazing. I had two midwives one of which was a student who had been part of my care during my GP visits. These two women made me feel completely at ease they were supportive encouraging and incredibly caring. I was very apprehensive about giving birth alone but this experience was beautiful and I never felt alone. I look back at my daughter's birth with nothing but happy memories of those two women and I can only hope they see this and know that they made one of the most scary experiences amazing for me and I will forever be in their debt. they both went above and beyond anything I expected and I know they played a vital part in me being able to get back on my feet as quickly as I have.

  7. Review titled A & E Experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kathleen - Posted on 24 November 2022

Advised to attend A & E at Kings Mill by doctor with my elderly mother. We were kindly given a wheelchair upon arrival at reception following my request and directed to A & E. Maybe waited a short 15 mins before being seen. Quickly triaged then asked to wait to see a doctor. 4 hours later I asked a passing nurse how much longer mum would have to wait as she was really struggling with feeling cold and aches from sitting so long being well into her nineties in age. This very helpful nurse found mum wasn't on the list so went back to reception to sort something out. Very shortly after that the nurse said a doctor would see mum, which happened. The doctor was very helpful, other staff were all kind but very busy. There was spilled cola on the floor, the two male/female toilets were not at all clean and the drinks machine had no decaffeinated drinks left so a hot chocolate was chosen, the correct cash inserted only to be given a cup of plain hot water. I rang the number on the machine but told no one could put a notice on the machine or give me my money back the same day. Not having a car, I'm not going to get either a bus or taxi back to the hospital on another day for a £1.70 refund. Better to pay by card apparently. This visit to A & E for mum was not good at all. Certain things need to improve. An unpleasant and unacceptable experience.
