  1. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Luke Hayes - Posted on 10 November 2024

I arrived at A&E not being able to properly communicate and struggling to breath and swallow so my mum came along and from the start the fist person we spoke to was understanding of the situation that I couldn’t speak very well and allowed my mum to help out. After waiting in the waiting room for a bit I was called to the doctor and she was incredible helpful as giving me all the information and making sure I understood. Later I was put on an IV and she made sure to explain everything and why she was using it and what it would do which reassured me as I knew what was going on aswell as this she updated my mum so she knew too. After we went back into the waiting room and waited to be called through for a checkup to see if it had had any effect and she gave me the option to stay an hour and she’d hand over to a night doctor if I felt to anxious to go home or I could go home with antibiotics and see how it goes which I think shows alot of care for the patients welfare. Overall one of the best experiences I’ve had with A&E and all staff were lovely.

  2. Review titled Professional, efficient and kind care under stress

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Helen - Posted on 29 October 2024

I attended the emergency department on an extremely busy evening. I had breathing difficulties so was fairly anxious, but the environment and staff attitudes felt safe and efficient. The team on duty, worked tirelessly and cheerfully under trying conditions. Each professional was a credit to the hospital. I didn't require admission or much care but watching them explain everything to each patient. The consultant whom I saw was reassuring, competent and took the time to answer any questions. I have rarely had to visit an emergency department but this quality of care was a pleasure to expreince.

  3. Review titled Amazing hospital and staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My mother recently became very unwell ending up on Necton Ward for 2 weeks where she received first class care and support. My mother was very poorly when she was admitted with a complex and devastating diagnoses but crucially she was terrified of what was about to happen to her - but the staff were amazing and their care, love and support have had the most positive impact imaginable on her. It’s one of the best wards I’ve been on, the staff are inspirational and sone of the most amazing individuals I’ve met. They are patient focused and very engaged with their patients, taking the time to get to know them all individually to provide individual care. It’s astonishing to watch and was humbling during a very difficult time. As a family we cannot thank the team enough for the love and care they showed our mother. She conquered many of her fears with you by her side. Thank you. We face an uncertain time but we will be forever grateful for you all. The hospital itself is also one of the best I’ve been in, it’s clean, organised and surprisingly calm and quiet. It’s a gem of a hospital. Thank you.

  4. Review titled Brilliant in all respects

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I wish to congratulate the trust for the care, consideration and courtesy with which I have been treated throughout the discovery and journey of lung cancer treatment. I have met exemplary conduct through a&e, wards and particularly the Macmillan treatment centre where my fourth and possibly final chemotherapy session has just been completed. Congratulations to all staff and thank you.

  5. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently had major surgery at QEH and the level of care was exceptional. From being admitted into Holmes unit, through to surgery and then through to the Sandringham unit for aftercare was brilliant. Everyone was kind, caring and made me feel at ease as I was very scared ( never stayed in hospital before apart from having my 2 children ). Thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart

  7. Review titled excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jon Silver - Posted on 08 August 2024

My 86 year old mum called an ambulance at 11.30pm on Monday 05/0802024. The ambulance crew were first class and could not have been kinder. At the QE hospital mum was assessed, tested and blood work done all while still in the ambulance ( lack of space in A&E) not the staff's fault. The ambulance crew kept her comfortable and in good spirit's with their cheeky banter. By 3am mum was out of the ambulance and in A&E proper. After more tests and a trip to x-ray she was allowed home around 4pm. The staff, nurse's, doctor's and consultants were all fantastic. A big thank's too you all. A special shout out to the crew of ambulance 175 who are from Bury St Edmunds, you guy's are the best. mum is recovering well, our NHS is the best.

  8. Review titled Unbelievable Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan Smith - Posted on 29 August 2024

On the evening of July 30 my late wife was admitted to A & E . She was transferred to Windsor and Oxborough wards. On August 3 she had to have emergency surgery and was admitted to CCU where sadly she passed away.I would like to thank all the staff of all wards concerned for their professionalism, care and support.Especially CCU where their compassion, treatment and care went beyond all expectations. In her final moments she, myself and family were treated with the utmost dignity and compassion, thank you for everything. The NHS may be broken but the staff of Queen Elizabeth Kings Lynn excelled in everything they did. Thank you again Alan Smith

I recently spent at night at QEH Kings Lynn. The staff from initial ambulance journey through A&E and into West Raynham ward were brilliant. Caring, supportive and professional. I could not have wished for anymore at a very worrying time. Thank you QEH 👍

  10. Review titled Wonderful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mary Trindle - Posted on 21 June 2024

After a 9 day stay in QEH I was impressed with the kind, caring and efficient staff, including porters and cleaners and every one else. A shortage of beds - and pillows - were a constant problem. I was moved from resus to M ward? AMU, Windsor and Elm and apart from a few hours in M? I had the best of care. It amazed me the staff keep so smiley and kind with all the shortages of staff, noise from building work and all the other problems. The food had improved so much since my last visit a couple of years ago, and some of the vegetarian and vegan options were excellent. Cleaning seemed constant and thorough. Thank you all.
