Review titled ASU staff are fantastic

The Acute Surgical Ward staff are a credit to the hospital, to the Trust, to the NHS and most of all to themselves. Every single one of them from the ward manager, nurses, nursing assistants , support staff, consultants , doctors and domestic services apologies if we have missed anyone out. We were looked after so well , offered kind words and plenty of food and drinks while accompanying a family member who sadly passed away. But this death was peaceful comfortable and dignified We appreciated this so much and felt that we all mattered. Staff ensured we were comfortable , had everything we needed and asked how we were doing. This all sounds so trivial but at the time it wasn't at all and it is these little gestures that have made a long lasting impression on us. We cannot thank you all enough. We were able to spend time with our loved one during the last week of her life , we never felt that we were not welcome to do this or that we were in the way at all. It made it easier to deal with her death being able to be with her at the end. Sending a huge thankyou to every single one of you , you made a difference.

Went to A&E at 7am still in hospital 12 hours later had all tests scans etc needed all in one day had procedure done even feed and watered us couldn’t fault my care lovely staff through out 11/10 thank you NHS
