When looking for a place to live this was sold as the ideal home and they could cater for her needs,this wasn't to be. After moving my mother in law in we visited her on her 2nd day to find her slumped alone in a chair, on her own in pain. They didn't give her any pain relief because she"didn't have a percription"for paracetamol. I called 111 and managed to get some, what happened to the residents if they've got a headache! Another time she wasn't given medicine for her illness on 2 occasions, one time it was 5 days then 9 days without, we feel this set her back in her health. Again why couldn't they call for an emergency percription, I did for paracetamol! She had a number of falls, at times the residents had to call out for help. One of these fall's resulted in her fracturing her arm, this resulted in her losing the use of her legs, as she relied on the use of a frame. We often found her laying in her bed with no TV or radio on, how lonely! She lost a lot of weight and only after 3 months they gave a supplement. She was in there for only 5 months and we decided to move her out. Since moving She's made an amazing improvement. They only tell you what you want to hear and never follow up on anything.
