My father moved into Braywood after spending many months in hospital. I received a phone call on the first day of my dad being at Braywood to say he had fallen out of bed. This also happened again within the next 48 hours. My father was left in a dining room and not supported to eat his lunch time meal. When I challenged staff as to why he was left like this I was told Dad said he didn't need any support with eating. My father had stage 2 dementia and was assessed as needing support to eat at meal times. I went to visit Dad and he was wearing a pair of glasses that didn't even belong to him. I was advised by staff members it's quite normal for residents to wander into other peoples rooms & take things that doesn't belong to them. Apparently this is a trait of Dementia. I think not! Read the latest report from the CQC which was published in December 2023 and decide for your selves. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I would never have placed my father in this care home knowing what I know now
