In general friendly carers but they were not very keen on working (!) and expressed their lack of training which was apparent. I didn't receive the vital help I needed at such a difficult time but when any attempt was made to discuss this with the manager it was met with astonishing rudeness, blame, no offer to change things and added stress to an already difficult situation. As they were there for the essentials of food and personal care it was and is really worrying that they didn't provide it, yet claimed they had as they write their own notes. Something so easily rectified by perhaps getting the client to counter sign. I felt there was a fundamental lack of honesty. Though the carers were pleasant on the whole they simply didn't do what they were paid to do and eventually were making life harder. Prone to whispering and playing on their phones - as young people do! But stressful when you need food and cleaning. I think the responsibility must lie with the manager and her attitude was so astonishingly bad that another (very highly qualified) professional who phoned to express concern to her, said there was simply nothing to achieve by talking to someone like that. As I say many of the carers were very sweet but their lack of training, motivation and leadership ultimately means I would be concerned for many in the care of this company.
