I have just received an unsolicited call from this company, who I have never heard of, telling me that it has come to their knowledge that I may be eligible for an emergency pendant. They did not ask for me by name so how they could tell,I may be eligible is anyone’s guess, they then proceeded to ask me if I was over 70! If they knew I may be eligible they should already have this information! three things spring to mind, 1) I do not appreciate this type of call, if I needed it I would ask for it, 2) if they really did know who I was and that I have health issues, why have my details been passed to them without my knowledge, presumably by the NHS, when my records are supposed to be confidential! And 3) I can only assume that I would need to pay for this service so this is nothing more than a cold sales call! I do not think companies that have to tout for business in this way are very reputable!
