My dad went into this home as there was no where else that would accept him! The love and support shown from the staff is unbelievable! From support workers to management the job they do is not easy but they go above and beyond for the residents, my father always says how nice the food is and does enjoy it, when I’ve visited over meal times the presentation and smell Is so good. Yes it can be a loud environment but there’s always staff around to ensure everyone is safe, Management are very approachable and always find time if we wanted to pop in and have a chat, gardens are great and makes the feel like they have the freedom, I don’t see much activities going on when I visit but I’m not the all day every day Thankyou hengoed park you have taken the pressure off us as a family knowing my dad is being cared for.

I visited my grandfather. They were surprised to see me and rushed upstairs to clean his room while I sat with him downstairs. Upon entering his room, I was hit with the smell of faeces and urine. It was so strong I nearly vomited. I’m not sure how my grandfather can stay in there for longer than 30 seconds. His en suite bathroom has been ‘out of order’ for years. They need to sort this very serious hygiene problem.
