Mum’s health was declining since her 90th birthday. When she said she could not stand up we assumed it was physical weakness built up through the pandemic, and we were relieved when she was admitted to Holy Name for a thorough assessment and rehab before returning home. She had a lovely room and attentive caring staff who were able to sooth her long held fears of going into care. Sadly they recognised that rhe weakness was her heart failing and she needed more interventions at Hull Royal. Mum told everyone she met in her last few days how lovely it was in Holy Name and hoped to go back there for convalescence.
