We moved my stepfather to Lobswood after a terrible experience at another home. My stepfather, who passed away in April, was 97, with several severe health conditions, and he was at end of life. The staff at Lobswood were attentive, regularly monitored his pain and diabetes, and kept him fed as well as posdible and hydrated, clean and free of pressure sores. They also monitored his diabetes and pain throughout the day, and kept us informed. Just as important, they treated him with kindness and dignity, often having a laugh with him, and we felt they treated him with the care they would have given to a member of their own family. They also attended to his personal hygiene and kept his room fresh and tidy. He grew very fond of them all. We also noticed the kindness and dignity shown to other residents. Since he passed away, they have kept in touch with my Mum, and she is attending an event this Saturday. I feel we were lucky to have been able to have been offered a place at Lobswood, and we would definitely recommend this care home.
