We were hired as office staff with a senior carer assistant work visa, expecting to primarily work in an office setting. However, upon starting work, we were required to perform carer duties, which was not the expectation set during our training period. Initially, we were informed that carer tasks would only be part of our training, but this continued throughout your tenure with the company. The company changed its stance, stating that we are carers who "sometimes" work in the office, contrary to what was communicated during our virtual training. It's disappointing when the company does not fulfill its promises and mislead employees about their roles and responsibilities. Potential employees need to be aware of such practices, and it's also crucial for regulatory bodies like the Home Office to closely review recruitment processes to ensure fairness and transparency for all workers.
