My mother was allocated Routes by the hospital palliative care team on leaving hospital. Some of the carers were lovely and caring. Many were terrible. Lazy, completely uncaring and wanting to do the minimum. Ten carers per day came. Refused to help transfer her to commode, only wanted her to use pads. It was easier to do all the care myself. The agency was disrespectful, rude and incompetent. After a very stressful ten days we were advised to terminate the contract and find a fit for purpose agency.
