My mum spent 2 years in the dementia unit and from the first to last moment we knew it was the right place for her. It is homely and friendly with high standards of care and lots of smiles. The beautiful grounds are lovely for residents to look out onto, great for visitors and often used for events. The rooms are a good size, easily personalised and importantly for us, has a discretely secure, and well designed single story dementia unit. All the staff (from the Manager to carers, night team, cook & cleaners) were exceptional - so often going well beyond both for mum and our family. Even when she lost her ability to speak, her face would light up with so many of the carers. We also got to know many on a personal level and without exception were always warmly welcomed - Warren Lodge really did became a 2nd home. Dementia is a tough illness and yet the staff gently guided us through as mum declined and ensured she always received the right medical and care and equipment to maintain maximum quality of life. The compassion they showed in the final days will stay with us forever.
