As I entered the pharmacy, I heard and saw what looked like the lead pharmacy gentleman speaking rather out of term to an elderly lady about her prescription, as if it was her fault the asthma spray she was prescribed was not available anymore. Another customer was challenging the assistant about a prescription that the chemist said had already been collected. I wouldn't mind, but the huffing and puffing of the staff was so easily heard. I myself was looking for an off the shelf medicine to help me sleep due to a chesty cough/cold and also anything that could be given off the shelf to help me clear a water infection. To start, they did not know the price of the medicine that was on the shelf, the second thing was the assistant. Her general knowledge on water infections must have been zero! She went to another assistant behind a small counter and I could her them giggling when she ask her about anything I could take for it. She just came back around and said "sorry we don't stock anything for that!! I mean, come on, what about 'cystitis relief' or 'cystocalm'!! Basically they could not be bothered to even speak to me about alternatives or basic advise. So I walked away with nothing at all. A great help they were....NOT!!

I have been having physio for the last 6 weeks. The 2 physiotherapists I had were excellent. Very professional caring and very good at their job.. After 6 weeks there was definately an improvement in my condition. Its a shame the receptionist didn't take a leaf out of their book. She was very abrupt and unfriendly.

I visited Accrington Pals physio department. The Physio was lovely also the receptionist very helpful. The Physio said he would send me exercises via email. I hadn't received them 4 days later so I rang up. I was perfectly in my rights to ring up after 4 days. The woman who answered the phone was very curt and almost rude. I know they are very busy but if you can't cope with the stress you shouldn't work there
