I came in to get my IUD removed and i orginally saw a friendly female doctor who was happy to help. She asked me to do some swabs etc. I then was referred to a male doctor who was very rude. I asked to have my boyfriend in the room during the removal and he didn’t let me. I felt very uncomfortable as it was just me and him in the room and wanted there to be someone else, even if it was just another colleague. After i waited in the waiting room as i thought they were going to discuss my swab results with me as they hadn’t been mentioned by him. I went to reception to ask and the doctor came over to me and asked “what are you still doing here” it was very rude and unhelpful and then proceeds to talk over me. It was just a misunderstanding as he didn’t communicate clearly with me. Overall he was very unhelpful and rude which is a shame as every other experience i’ve had here the staff have always been friendly and helpful.

I came here to get a copper IUD fitting at this clinic and had such an amazing experience - it exceeded all my expectations! Everyone was so friendly and warm, from the people at reception to the doctor doing the fitting. The doctor and the assistant were amazing! They made me feel so comfortable and at ease, talked me through everything, were super professional but also very personable and supportive. Since this was my first time having an IUD fitted and my first time visiting a sexual health clinic I was considerably nervous, but I had absolutely no reason to be: everyone was so lovely and I was even offered different options for local anaesthetics after which I felt only minimal cramping and discomfort during the procedure. I would highly recommend this clinic!

Couldn't be more grateful to the professional who got my coil out today. My anatomy and experiences make that a tricky ask. The person was so so kind, clear and understanding. Not to mention the least painful downstairs experience ever. This feels like a safe space as a survivor of various abuses, respectful of lgbtq+ folks, clean and informative overall. Shout out to the most thorough and discrete reception team. I am extremely appreciative of you all.

I was really impressed with the service from start to finish. It was easy to ring up and make an appoitment at short notice and the receptionists were very helpful. The practise was really clean and the waiting room was comfortable. There was a slight wait when I arrived for my appoitment but that's to be expected, and the staff were working flat out. I came in not sure what help I needed but the consultant was very thorough and understanding. I was also given treatment within the same consultation as opposed to having to wait for a prescription to arrive at a pharmacy - delaying treatment. A really positive experience, I would defintely reccomend to friends and family.

I came to have a copper coil fitted and then returned 3 weeks later for a follow up scan to check positioning. I was really nervous before the fitting but I had no reason to be, the staff are friendly, respectful and reassured me all the way through. I expected the fitting to be painful but it was uncomfortable for a few seconds at most. The doctor also offered to do my smear test at the same time since I was due for one and this was really great. The follow up check showed the positioning was correct so I'm all set now, thanks team for making the process so smooth. Agreed it can be tough to get an appointment but if you consistently check the website for slots eventually you can nab one.

I have phoned up the team to direct me on where to go for a morning after pill. I wa told to come to the archway clinic.upon arrival the security guard didn’t let me in due to a meeting held in mid day without any update to anyone. When I asked the security to get me someone to speak to a nurse came and started laughing at me and at my situation and didn’t help at all.

Hi there, Your experience sounds awful and we’re sorry you’ve had such a difficult time. No one should laugh at you or make you uncomfortable; we take that very seriously and will talk to staff about this. Archway closes on the first and third Wednesday each month for training (from 12pm to 4pm) but we’re sorry if this wasn’t made clear on the door or when you phoned. We’ll look into that. I was running 10 minutes late due to parking issues but the receptionist was very kind, helpful and cheerful putting me at ease. I was then quickly seen by a doctor who was extremely calm, reassuring & extremely helpful answering any questions I had but also allowing me to raise all concerns. Thank you so much for this easy, fast and peaceful experience.
