  1. Review titled Timetable

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I would just like to point out that the online timetable shows the opening time for Monday afternoon as 1.15 but when I rang up to confirm I was told it is 1pm. Maybe the timetable is out of date ?

Blood clinic . No tickets available until blood clinic starts. Allowed inside to wait but absolute free for all getting a ticket once clinic starts. No queuing system so only first 1 or 2 know where they are in que . Tickets should be available upon entry or make patients form a queue. I left as it’s quite clear what is going to happen when tickets are put out. Disgusting service . It’s not rocket science to make the system work properly

  3. Review titled Lscft Contract Ashton Health Clinic

Rated 1 star out of 5

Lscft are commissioned to provide the blood clinic. There is no dignity or respect for patients and poor waiting room management. Patients sit in the waiting room turning up early in the expectation of being seen quickly. Bizarrely, the tickets (indicating waiting number)are kept behind reception and only 30 were issued. Then receptionist shouts that the tickets are available and the whole waiting room are forced to fight to the desk like cattle to a trough (even the elderly, those with mobility problems and those on crutches(I counted 2.) I work for Healthwatch and I asked to see the clinic manager and I discussed the above with in relation to the unfortunate stress, anxiety, and anger of the resultant "free for all." It would be helpful if Lcsft would publish their clinic policy and procedures on the Ashton Health Clinic website so we can see how successful they are in delivering what they are commissioned to do. It would be interesting to see what the policy is around patient dignity. I have sent a complaint directly to Lscft and I will also be advising the Cqc . Interestingly I am also part of a group commissioned by the Integrated Care Board to research why patients attend A and E rather than primary care services. I think I have a good example to add to the report.! Unfortunately I was unable to post the acronym for the Care Quality Commission and Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust as this feedback website wouldn't let me.Feedback is rather difficult when you are unable to use NHS acronyms on the NHS website.

Good evening, I am sorry to note that you had such a poor experience. As this service falls outside the remit of our Trust I am not able to provide a response, however I can see that you have forwarded your complaint to the correct Trust. Kind Regards
