Accompanied the Adult patient for came in for a blood test. Waited 20 mins to be seen when there was no queue and no one else waiting . Once asked how long it would take , we were seen. Nurse said hello, typed away didn’t bother with the patient. Then I was suddenly told , not asked , told “ put your phone away in here “ . Then our friend waited outside the door and she walked up and told the friend he can’t be “ loitering around as there’s other rooms with patience “ I clarified he’s here for moral support in an attempt to clarify and also lighten the situation as the patient was quite nervous so to indicate to the nurse again that the patient is nervous and needed 2 adults to accompany him. she dismissed it and Patient was looking away entire time for blood test , again nurse didn’t say anything went straight into adding the band and sticking a needle in. The patient proceeded to ask if she required the other arm for further tests she questions “ why would I need the other arm for “ and then proceeded to show 3 full tubes of blood!!! and said “ it’s enough “. The patient avoided looking the entire time for her to only then show him the blood ?? It’s extremely inconsiderate and he suffers from anxiety and it’s really upset him and rattled him. He doesn’t come often to blood tests and it’s been years . Just seemed unprofessional , unapproachable , rude and careless . Not sure why people work jobs where they need to interact with humans if they can’t be bothered . Find a new job mate that doesn’t involve human interaction. Neither I or my family will be coming here again for sure .

I attended a blood test on 6th July 2023 but despite enquiring as to the result, 4 weeks later, and furthermore discussing it with my GP on 27th Sept 2023, no result has been forthcoming and today 26th October my GP practice wishes me to attend a new blood test. What has happened to the 6th July test result?

Review titled Kind Staff & Easy Blood Test

I arrived and I was really anxious,; I had gotten lost and forgotten my blood test form. The staff were kind and helpful, both the lady on reception and the lady who took my blood. They reassured me, calmed me down and we figured out a solution to me not having the paper form (my partner emailed me a scan/photo). I hadn't been told to fast, although I was supposed to, and they didn't make feel silly or like I was a problem at any point. The blood test itself was so smoothly done, basically painless and very very quick. Thank you again, these ladies really dissolved my stress and treated me with so much kindness.
