Review titled Poor communication and support
Rated 2 stars out of 5

We gave birth to our baby girl 9 days ago. The day after we came home a midwife came out to see us. She didn’t observe feeding or give any feeding advice even though we are first time parents and the day 3 visit was reduced to a phone call which meant there was no weigh in or feeding observations until day 5. The day 3 phone call was missed by us and over the next 2 days we tried calling back 7 times each day and couldn’t get an answer, left voicemails and we didn’t get any replies. So we had concerns about our daughters feeding but weren’t able to get help. At our day 5 check up she had lost a significant amount of weight and our daughter had to be hospitalised for dehydration which lead to 3 nights with a feeding tube. The doctors and nurses said this should have been caught much earlier and we should never have ended up in the place we did. Likewise today we have had minor concerns and just want to speak to a midwife but no one is answering the phone so we have had to call the hospital instead.

Complications during early pregnancy, tried all day to speak to someone, left a message on answer phone to say I'm concerned, no one got back to me. Ended up at QA for 2 days and lost baby, 2 weeks later still no communication!
