Review titled Poor practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 June 2024
Online consultation for a not going through. No where to raise the complaint and notify of the technical errors. So no accountability or figures for audit purposes. Drs requesting samples but not providing correct details or timescales for said samples so not willing to take samples. Another wasted journey.

Review titled Avoid this practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Gingebiscuit - Posted on 06 September 2024
Avoid this practice if possible. Since covid and Modality taking over this practice has gone from bad to worse. I used to be under Harden Practice but they moved all patients to Blakenall during covid. Now they've changed how to get an appointment to online forms only. You can't even go to the surgery and request one as they lock everyone out. What about the elderly who just want to call up or pop in? No thought has been given to anyone without a smart phone. This surgery is so disassociated from it's patients now it hasn't got a clue. If by some miracle you do get an appointment you will prob just get sent to a&e anyway. They dont deal with any issues themselves anymore. Its as if the gp's have no idea how to deal with everyday stuff. I had a water infection, instead of a standard 7 days antibiotics they gave me 3. I ran out over a wkend and the infection moved to my kidneys. Even the Manor said it was nuts that they didn't prescribe a normal amount of antibiotics. Apparently this practice is now getting a rep at the hospital for nonsense referrals instead of dealing in house. It's embarrassing to say which practice you are with. I had constipation, they wanted me to go to a&e. My husband had a bad back they told him he could be paralysed and had cauda equina. After months of panic and referrals, the hospital confirmed cauda equina is super rare, told hubs to rest and take anti inflammatories. Why didn't the doctors do this instead? Even an xray or scan wud have been better to rule things out. I had high blood pressure so I was told to monitor it for a few days and come back. When I went back to see the nurse she had to argue via message with the doctor, even though he was in the next room, to get him to address the problem. He wanted me to leave and monitor again for a further week even though my blood pressure was dangerously high. The irony is that between 2018 and 2019 I visited the surgery 3 or 4 times before they referred me to hospital. When they finally sent me in it was confirmed I had cancer. I wish they had been more proactive then. There are so many stories over the past few years that I could go on and on. So to sum up the nurses and receptionist are lovely. The doctors don't seem to want to deal with any patients and are making it as difficult as possible to be dealt with. When, or if, you do get through to a doctor they probably won't deal with your problem themselves. They will either under prescribe or send you to a&e. There's no middle ground.

Review titled No time for patients, GP very rude
Rated 1 star out of 5

Disappointed with booking systems, have to attend OOH most of the time due to work as unable to get appts and only ever offered telephone calls, finally got a f2f consultation today, GP didn’t have time to listen and was quite rude when we were only stressing we were concerned and wanted to clarify what she was saying to be sure, found her quite difficult and feel she spent more time documenting we were rude in the consultation from what she put in the nhs app. Finding it extremely difficult speaking to different GP’s all the time

Telephones for a referral to be made for wheelchair services. Dr has to do this and you need an appointment. Please book me an appointment - answer - we don’t have any , call back tomorrow. It is the same line every time you call. No wonder it is being investigated - shame it had to take local councillor to get involved for it to be investigated

Review titled Unbelievable system

I received a call on Tuesday 20th Feb from the surgery telling me I need to book an appointment for the next day and to call surgery at 8-00 on Wednesday. I started ringing at 7-59 and it was closed I kept hanging up and redialing at 8-00 the automated voice told me I was more than 30th in the queue how is that even possible I decided to remain my position in the queue with a call back but obviously I will not get an appointment they close tomorrow so I will have to try again Friday. My appointment is for a hospital referral to dermatology and as its a problem I've had for 14 months I want to get it sorted because no doubt there's a years waiting list

Review titled Terrible Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Marilyn Mason - Posted on 12 December 2023
I have been trying for 2 weeks to get a telephone consult, i went to the hospital and i received a text message from the surgery asking for me to make an appointment at my earliest convenience, the receptionist told me that it wasn't urgent as they would have made me an appointment, i have phoned at 8am to be told i am in a que of between 25 and 27 people how do they get through so quick and by the time it is my turn there are no appointments left, i am in terible pain and i struggle to do anything, even getting dressed and undressed, all i want is to speak to a doctor to find out results and see if or what he or she can offer me in regards to my pain, i understand that there are people worse off than me but when you only phone to see or speak to a doctor when you really need to is a joke, i think i have only spoke or seen a doctor a couple of times this year and looking back i don't think i saw one at all last year at all, since they meged with harden practice things have got seriously worse and i think people should take on board what everyone is saying about this place, i am also suffering with my mental health at the minute after my husband passed away in September so i am still greiving so this is not helping at the moment, i would not recomend this practice but other doctors surgeries are the same as i was going to try to change doctors but there isn't a good one around anywhere, so please on behalf of my self and other people get something done

Review titled Awful service

Near impossible to get an appointment as it works on a 24hr appointment schedule. Arrive in the morning at 0800 to book an appointment to be stuck in a queue of approx 15 people. Waiting on the phone for 45 minutes to be told there are no appointments available. There are far to many residents in the area for the facility to care for, and despite how they publish improvements when inside its obvious this is not the case.

I have been phoning 8 am last two weeks some how I am always over 30 in the que then apparently they have no appointments this place is ridiculous I ring as soon as it open I am not been well and obviously they don't care about patients that much especially the attitude you get when you tell them that you phone everyday to try get appointment and no luck is ridiculous. I have autism as well and live on my own you can't even book appointment for next day in advance I get so stressed so easy and also I have mental health.
