Review titled Headphone failure
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 February 2025
I was warmly welcomed into the mobile MRI unit, and when ready, shown into the MRI room. I was offered 2 random earplugs, but I said I’d like the music (as advertised on the website). I was told the music system had broken. I knew I’d be fidgety with silicone/sponge ear plugs as they make my ears itch. So they gave me the headphones. These, however, were not at all noise cancelling, which they most definitely should be, for the sake of my ears. The MRI makes various extremely loud noises, which are frequently the loudest volume like that of a road drill, a loudspeaker at a concert or an ambulance siren while standing a few feet away, and sometimes the noise extended for a long time. My body was vibrating inside for a a good few hours after and even as I write this review 8/9 hours later, one of my ears are still throbbing. Added to that, I felt rushed by one of the people in attendance, who didn’t consider my comfort important, so I had to insist on feeling comfortable, with support under my knees, in order to stay still for the 20+ minutes duration. I was told only in the ideal world would I feel comfortable. Yet, I’ve spent 45 minutes in an MRI in comfort and not at all deafened before now.

Review titled Fantastic staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a very positive experience when attending for a scan 12.10.24, the receptionist was very friendly and efficient, the place looked really clean, I was quite anxious about having the scan but the sonographer and her assistant were absolutely wonderful from the time I went in they were warm and friendly and put me at ease and they gave me privacy to get changed etc and totally respected my dignity, the whole experience was 100 % positive.

Review titled Appalling treatment from this whole company
Rated 1 star out of 5

Arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time as requested. I was told I had cancelled my appointment therefore it had been given to someone else. If I had cancelled, why would I have turned up? The receptionist then calls someone else. I was then told I had to get re-referred by my GP. As if they are not busy enough. The receptionists then hands me a post-it note. I look at it to see my GP's name scrawled on it. I then had the misery and upset to see the two people who had my appointment arrive. They rolled in 10 minutes late, laughing and joking, so hardly a life or death scan. I was left fighting tears and watchful eyes of the other patients, whilst trying to find the number of the scan department. When I did I was told the same thing - I had cancelled this appointment and had to return to my GP and get referred again back onto the waiting list. 5his person then said my appointment was the 25th August and I hadn't turned up. This is s lie. This then changed to my appointment being 27th August. None of it true. Relenting, this person then told me they would give me another appointment. So it was untrue that I needed to go back to my GP. This person then claims she phoned with the appointment on the 26th August. Untrue. All I had was the letter. Regarding 27th August, there had been no phone calls, no texts, no letters and no notifications in my NHS app. I then get a number from Crawley call whilst on the phone to the Brighton person. Again, they said that an appointment had been given for 25th August. I told the person this had been changed to the 27th August by the last operator. They refused to get me seen today. So.i was sent packing with a flea in my ear. I am really upset about how I was treated by everyone. It was the lies they all told, the fact that no one was sorry, they showed no empathy that I was being monitored for cancer and really couldn't care less. This company is shocking but so we're the people on the NHS switchboard. No o e listened and no one could give a monkeys for my distress, upset and inconvenience. The Amex is not an easy place to get to. You should all ve thoroughly ashamed of yourselves.
