I contacted Change Grow Live, Norfolk in October 2022 because of some ongoing issues with alcohol use. I was reassured that I would be able to attend a face to face substance misuse course with other like-minded people and that I would be contacted within a few days to a week maximum. I had to wait about 10 weeks before I was finally contacted and I was offered a six week online course, disappointed, I decided to attend. The first week’s session lasted 43 minutes. The second week’s session I sat waiting in front of my computer screen for it to begin, for 20 minutes. I called Change Grow Live 3 days later because I hadn’t received any communication from them about why the session didn’t go ahead. I was told the tutor went off sick on the Monday evening. No one bothered to contact me about the cancellation of the session and no one bothered to contact me to see if I was ok considering the session didn’t run. I won’t bother returning for the remainder of the sessions and I have made the Care Quality Commission and Change Grow Live’s funders aware of the poor quality of service they offer.
