    When I went for my appointment with CHEC, everything went well and it was on time, the staff were polite and every thing was fine. I had a query when I saw the technician and she was unable to answer my question as she was not a clinician, but this has since been resolved.

    I was waiting for a prescription to be sent to my gp surgery but had not arrived after two weeks. Was told to check local pharmacy not there either. Attempted to contact chec in Westbourne direct but no phone numbers available. Tried 0330 100 4730 all I got there was an automated answer saying 'no one available' Very poor service!!!!!

    Today I saw an Ophthalmologist at CHEC in Christchurch. Was made very welcome. The doctor was really thorough in explaining why they were checking my eyes again. This was my second visit to CHEC. She went through my medical history. I then had a detailed eye examination with her explaining every step of the way. The doctor was very friendly and very professional, and took her time with me, even though they were clearly busy. I felt very at ease with her. I need to go back in three months for another check up, but for me it’s so much easier to attend here than at the hospital, so very glad of this service. The doctor was very reassuring, made suggestions about my eye health, and I left happy knowing my condition was not as bad as I had thought.

  4. Review titled Change to clinic treatment since taking over NHS contract

    Since they have taken over the NHS service contract we now only see a technician and no longer an on site Ophthalmologist for a thorough inspection and consultation as previously experienced . Receiving a confirmation in the post that eye pressures are ok is not what this clinic was set up to do or acceptable as a patient.
