Difficulties for the many patients struggling due to the geography of the 2 surgeries, one in Dorset and one in Hampshire. The dual locations are manageable but the "politics" preventing National Health Service patient records being shared by Drset is a farce. We experienced a problem with this previously and we were assured that it was being looked into. Our experience on Sunday 18.02.24 proved otherwise, when my 86 year old wife became unwell and reluctantly I called 111. The response was very quick and the male nurse who attended was excellent. He was hampered by the lack of any past records and together we had to construct enough so the picture was clear before he was able to begin an assessment of his disressed patient. Hardly a perfect solution. Nobody seems to know the reason so I have written to several authorities on both sides of the county divide in the hope that this can be rectified before another patient suffers from the delay or worse. It is worth noting that the time spent taking notes, from several patients during the course of a shift would liberate enough time to see more patients (efficiency?).
