Rated 5 stars out of 5

Staff were lovely and friendly. I felt really comfortable in an environment I'm usually nervous in. Gave me good advise and explained everything I was unsure of.

Review titled Great care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was seen very quickly. The GP was professional, very caring and kind. I left feeling very reassured, with meds and advice on further care, if needed. I was very happy and highly impressed by the out of hours Cornwall Service.

Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jayne - Posted on 21 June 2024
After completing a short online 111 assessment for my daughter I was rung back by a doctor who did a telephone triage . We were then advised she needed to be seen and was told the local out of hours centre would contact us. We were rung back and an appt made, we went straight to the out of hours centre and was seen immediately. The gentlemen on reception was very polite and helpful. The doctor was very thorough and gave my daughter an injection and some medication to take away . The whole experience was very efficient and professional and has restored my faith in OOH care , It was a very reassuring experience , and I was so grateful we were able to be seen.

Review titled Great service on a Friday evening
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ruth Barnes - Posted on 24 June 2023
Attended local MIU for treatment for shingles whilst on holiday, lovely helpful nurse quickly saw me To avoid a long wait as sadly explained it was out of their scope of conditions. I called 111 for advice at 3.30 on a Friday. They recommended I register as a temporary patient at a local surgery to be seen. After I explained the chance of an appointment so late on a Friday was extremely unlikely so they agreed to book a telephone assessment with an OOH practitioner. I received a call at 7pm and after obtaining the full clinical history and assessment from the MIU and local Pharmacist issued a prescription instantly for me to collect! Thank you. In a time When the NHS and GPs are getting a bashing I wanted to highlight an example when it all worked smoothly and a big thanks to the practitioner who was working a 13 hour shift over night to provide the service
