  1. Review titled Not a warm welcome

Rated 2 stars out of 5

This morning upon arrival at the medical centre at 08:30 there was a queue for reception, my appointment being at 08:50 I was happy to wait as due to personal preference I do not like using the self check in machines. When I reached the desk, I was asked quite abruptly why I had not used the self check in machine. I explained why it was my personal preference and that it is not a mandatory requirement. I gave my details and was told that my appointment was 09:25 and not 08:50 as was clearly stated on my confirmation text. There was no use trying to argue with this man as he was abrupt, rude and was not listening. However this in turn was going to skew my arrival time at work so I was now not happy on two points. Thankfully at 09:00 the nurse seeing me came out to check to see I had arrived - my appointment was 08:50 and not 09:25. I informed her of how I was treated and she was apologetic. It transpired that I had been checked in for my repeat appointment scheduled on the 13th. Yes it is Monday morning but there is no need for rudeness and if a patient does not wish to use self check in then accept their reasoning.

  2. Review titled Phone call appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

We are no longer in covid restrictions, why are doctors not doing in person appointments? It’s disgraceful that patients have to sit on hold for at least 45 minutes to be told they can expect a call ‘sometime in the afternoon.’ How can doctors give an accurate examination of someone over the phone? Also not everyone has the time to wait around for a phone call at some point in the day. This practise is a joke!

Dear Liam Thank you for your feedback on telephone appointments. The Doctors have limited time during the day, and have telephone appointments in the first instance. This allows them to then book face to face appointments with the patients who need to be seen in person. We understand that waiting for a call may be inconvenient, however staff will ask when booking appointments what your preferred telephone number is, which includes mobiles. We want to use the limited resources in the best way possible and sometimes this means a telephone appointment in the first instance. We appreciate your feedback and I will raise this within the practice. Thank you
