Generally receptionists and doctors are good, but the recent doctor has not taken things seriously and said I just had congestion, when really I know it felt like a chest infection. 1 week later I went to the pharmacy as symptoms worsened, and they gave me antibiotics at the pharmacy, and it has managed to clear it up very quickly. Generally staff and reception are friendly, but I was misinformed that a medical history form would take a few days to fill in, i contacted them back to find out a week later, if it was filled out. They said it can take up to a month to fill out, and cost £60. It can be quite tricky to get a appointment, but generally. The practise is clean, free parking outside on the public road, and have not waited for more than 10/15mins when I have turned up to my appointment.

I had my smear test on 06/08/2024 I was made to feel welcome and comfortable the entire time. Procedure was painless and professional Amazing friendly kind nurse who cares about her patients She is an asset to the NHS

The issue I have is I do not appear to be able to log into the website to book an appointment or request repeat prescription.Was fine with old system online. This was never a problem previously. Last week Wed 13 March , the Amina system would not accept my details and said they would contact GP surgery to verify. This still has not happened 4 days later. Tried calling and kept on hold for ages.Very frustrating having to walk to the surgery to book an appt or put in prescription request. Please can someone contact me.

Not able to speak to the GP when requested giving misleading advice from receptionist and patient has to suffer the consequences of the bad experience and service received!

Elderly grandparent of 36 year old with severe special needs rang for appointment for grandchild (for whom they are cater for) at 8 am at Cricket Green Medical Practice which is 2 minutes from home and has been sent to another practice tomorrow evening 2 bus journey, 2 vulnerable adults and leaving another very vulnerable elderly person at home. Have been with this surgery for a number of years.

It's frustrating using the website. Previously it worked, but quite recently I signed up for 'Anima', but its' software does not seem to perform- amateurish quality. Also, is no facility to type messages to anyone at Cricket Green Medical Practice Surgery. Receptionists several times, their email addresses are not to be used for typed messages- a bit strange.

On the whole I have had good experiences with the medical staff. I've always found the reception team to be fairly cold and unhelpful (over 10 years). The move to the various online booking systems over the last couple of years has just been painful and it is not a good experience for patients. Once you've submitted a request it tends to be fine and I've always been contacted relatively quickly... But getting a request submitted is the issue. Often they shut the system down for the day within an hour of it opening so you have a very small window of opportunity first thing in the morning which of course co-incides with commuting to work, doing school runs etc so does not work for a lot of people. Once in the system, it's clunky and often the drop down menus do not contain what you are contacting them about which is frustrating. My experience of phoning (which you can only do for certain things like children's appointments), you can be on hold for a very long time. I suspect its symptomatic of general underfunding of the NHS but getting booked in and contacting the clinic is not a good experience whatsoever.

getting an appointment is almost impossible. Web form closes very early on website. There are no exceptions for urgent care. i am a carer with severely disabled daughter. advice given was to go to pharmacy, call 111 or go to a&e. that was at 11am. I called 111 on Friday, at 11.15am, received a call at 3.30am on saturday morning. It is now Tuesday and I received a text message on Monday night stating that due to high volumes unable to assist. I am at a loss as to what to do if my children or myself need to see a doctor. It all changed during the pandemic and for some reason it hasn’t changed back. How can it be that a patient can not walk into a doctors surgery and make an appointment. I am baffled. Also, the surgery always seems to be empty. Mind boggling.

The practice uses the online booking system which is constantly suspended which means patients cannot send their requests. They cite 'safety' and 'service pressures' for 'occasional' shut- down. If only it was occasional... if you are unlucky enough to need help on a Friday you can forget it, the site can be down for the weekend from as early as 8.00 am. If you are lucky enough to sent the request through you are at the mercy of the doctor who will decide if your condition is important enough to receive a phone call, and you don't know when the phone call will happen. They don't listen, it seems like they have already made a decision about what is or is not wrong with you before they call. Oh, and the best thing is they tell you they only have a limited amount of time so if you have a few issues, you need to decide which one is the most important one as they won't help with all of them. the reception staff needs urgent training in manners, they seem so disinterested and unhelpful they might as well not be there at all. Clinicians make serious errors of judgement and don't really listen. Their response to any negative reviews on google always states they are under extreme pressure. Avoid at all cost!
