    I'm one of a handful of pilot project people that has an Advanced Care Document where many hours of work identified that early crisis resolution has kept me stay out of hospitals, maintain careers , stay independent and integrated in society. I don't ask for much in terms of time and energy but I do have high standards and will ask for them to be met. These are professionals I've just been told that I don't meet criteria I've never seen after self-referring to this service as it has always been helpful. This is the first time I have ever walked out of a session with mental health professionals since 2003. This team judge to against criteria that you will never see and ultimately you may well feel as I currently do there is not ANY service in CandI that can help you keep on track. It insults your intelligence as the person living with the conditions and makes you think never to ask for help ever again until it's a crisis that they deem eligible. They acknowledge that everyone is different and everyone's crisis is different but because they're money driven and box-tickers you will never actually know if you are eligible. Then like me - with an extensive psychiatric history - you will walk out and wonder just what symptoms you need to experience to be worthy as actually been 'seen' for what you need, ask for , know what works. Im bitterly disappointed that I went in and now will have to just ride out symptoms and wonder just how bad they really have to be. I've been involved in serious incidents through illness but I guess they only really care about liability. I currently believe that there is no meaningful mental health provision for me in Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust unless I reach the extreme outer limits were all trying to avoid.
