    I had an appointment today at 10.30am which had been booked for 6 months . I had to get permission from work to get time off to attend . I arrived about 10.25 and put one hour on the car parking . At 11.00am I asked the lady in charge of the appointments roughly how much longer it would be and explained about work and my car park ticket running out . She said she didn’t know , I asked again at 11.10am and was given the same answer so I had to leave .I was treat terrible and how on earth can an outpatient department be running so far behind so early in the day , goodness knows how far behind they would be as the day went on. This is a shocking way to treat patients and I am now left without any medical help for my condition but I’m sure they don’t really care or else I wouldn’t be in this position. This has nothing to do with poor NHS or anything like that it is down to bad time management by the powers that be and might I suggest that they leave longer times in between appointments, it’s not rocket science .

    Thank you for your feedback that you have left on the Litchdon House Dermatology page. We are sorry to hear about your experience but we wonder if this review is related to another outpatient dept at the hospital as Litchdon House Dermatology dept is in Newport and does not have a pay and display carpark. If you wish to add your review to whichever hospital site you attended they will be able to view it or you could contact the hospitals Patient Advice and Liaison Service Team (PALS) to give feedback to them.     i was seen by Dr L****, he was very pleasant and talked me through what the procedure and help to ease my nerves as he sensed my anxiety. He also kept talking to me and asking questions through the procedure which was a good distraction. Dr L*** was assisted by Health Care Assistant R***, who was also very helpful and kind and also helped to put me at ease.

    I’d waited 3 years for my dermatology referral, to be moved to a private clinic funded by the NHS. The dermatologist I saw had no sympathy for me at all, was not polite and gave me little information on the medications she’d prescribed me. I had so much I wanted to discuss as I’d waited so long for the appointment but felt rushed out, and now will have to speak to my GP about a referral elsewhere.

  4. Review titled Bad booking system

    I was referred at the end of May and booked for an appointment on 11th august. 3 days before the appointment i received a text that my appointment has moved to November 3rd. This was because of overbooking. Now i have to wait an additional 3 months before being seen as all appointments that were still available in september/october and now fully booked
