  1. Review titled Dreadful ‘System’

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Before the downgrade, as I see it, the system of seeing patients on the day was very easy: call up as soon as it opened at 8am and an appointment would be booked on the day at a set time. Simple! Now it’s utterly ridiculous; call upon the day and the receptionist says that a pharmacist (or gp depending on the health issue, or be seen in person), will call you back ‘sometime today), which is entirely a waste of a full day as my job is in a busy patient-facing role where it is not permissible to have a phone on and with me at all times. I have had to take an entire day off to get a new and updated prescription because they ‘don’t know’ when the pharmacist will call, and I have lost a day’s pay which is a hit on my purse. All down to ‘new and improved’ service upgrades. Utterly awful service! They need to go back to the old and far better way of patient care.

  2. Review titled Unprofessional GP

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I saw a new GP on 17th May 2024 about a couple of problems, one being an ingrown toenail. I described to her that it gets repeatedly infected and is constantly causing me pain but she only glanced at it once, continuing to only pay attention to her computer, and telling me “it’s getting better” when this was my first every appointment with her. Her tone used towards me was rude; she seemed annoyed at me and concluded the appointment after only three minutes. The referral she did for me was not marked as urgent, but I believe if she had actually paid attention to the problem she would realise it needs an urgent referral. I now have to wait even longer to book another GP appointment, just so I can get the urgent referral that I desperately need. Ideally I would prefer to see the male GP I saw before as a follow-up appointment as he did a much more thorough job, but with the new booking system this is not possible.
