Review titled Phone Service Needs Improving
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Steve - Posted on 11 February 2025
I have tried calling to make an appointment about 20 times and I'm always told that Evolutio are experiencing a greater number of calls than normal. Surely this increase in callers has become the new 'normal' and more call-handlers should be employed to deal with this number of calls and reduce the hold time for your patients/customers.

Review titled Booking an appointment - almost impossible!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 January 2025
To book a routine appointment for ongoing monitoring of my Glaucoma I have to phone a central phone number, a call center, and no matter when I call it is always "experiencing higher than normal call volumes". This means I have to wait, and wait, and... At no time does it tell me where I am in the cue. I could be number 80 or just number 2. So after listening to the repeated message about how busy they are, and the awful mood music, I hang up not knowing if I am next in the que, which is probably what they want me to do. More customer focused companies offer a call back service when you are next in the que, why can't Evolutio do this? I still have not been able to book a routine appointment. This is a private company providing an awful service to the public and no doubt charging the NHS a fortune.

Review titled Almost impossible to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5

It takes a minimum of 30 minutes hanging on the line listening to awful hold-music before anyone answers the phone. Was eventually given an appoint in 4 months time. Good thing it was a check up and not urgent!

Review titled Awful practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

Takes weeks to get through on phone or have emails answered. Took months to finally get appointment booked. They cancelled 24hrs before appointment. Absolutely useless company in every way. The NHS should not refer anyone to this company’s.

Review titled Delays
by Maidmente - Posted on 04 April 2024
In autumn 2023 I asked to see my GP for a referral to see a hospital eye consultant to get a CVI certificate. The RNIB said this was the only way to get a certificate since the government had stopped GPS & social Services issuing them. I actually saw the GP on 2nd Jan 2034 & was referred to Queens hospital. I was told there was a 12 week wait; but Evolution only started to make my booking on 8th Feb 2024. By mid April I’m still waiting to hear when I will be seen for this certification which I need to run my daily life now that my sight is so Impaired. I cannot use screens without huge difficulty & getting severe headaches if I try, yet every aspect of life demands that you do everything on line these days. Even the eye clinics don’t get it when you can’t receive emails & can’t do everything on line!!!! My delay of 14 weeks is too long - especially since the government or NHS England stopped GPS from issuing these CVI forms and made us all now have to go through hospital Ophthalmic consults instead.( pushing their serious eye conditions to one side whilst their consultants were asked to do CVI certificates - which should be more of an administrative task) Once again, the NHS is asking private companies to do work in a haphazard and less efficient way regarding this CVI particular process. It used to be managed efficiently but is no longer managed effectively and in a way that helps those whose sight loss is significant. My daily life is worsened because of not getting the CVI in a timely manner. It is a pattern I’ve seen elsewhere in the NHS too. Private sector companies who make significant profit out of health needs of the UK population just aren’t wanted by the public. It is a waste of public money.
