thank you to all of the staff who helped me when i was in forest house. i was treated well there and i got to experience going to the education centre. let me tell you a little bit more about what happened. so i got there by ambulance and they basically gave me questions about my mental health before admitting me and sending me to my room. later on my dad and i had to sign a form stating the rules and the protocols of the adolescent unit. they even decorated the wall in the dining room with positive affirmations, comments and dates about me which was really nice. the staff and the patients also got to decorate the walls on the unit which made everything more colourful and bright. at the end of my stay they even added in a chalkboard which people could draw on about the topic of the week. so we had ward round which is a thing where the doctors and the rest of staff talk about your mental state and whether youre allowed to go on leave. this wasnt in groups by the way, it was only with the individual patient. the consultant doctors were alright. all of the nurses were okay there as well but i had a favourite nurse who i wont give names because youre not allowed to on here. if youre the nurse reading this i want to thank you for treating me well whilst i was in there and i hope youre doing great. i was under sections 2 and 3 of the mental health act by the way. i only stayed there for two months though so i have no idea what happens when your section 3 gets renewed. i could come back here but i doubt it considering that im doing better now. in terms of the food it was better than my mum's cooking since it was delicious and definitely better than normal hospital food. i mostly watched netflix on the tv and went on my phone during my stay here when i was bored. i also had section 17 leave where i could go out for a bit. i loved watching physical 100 there with my favourite nurse along with all of the other british channels. i swear we watched grey's anatomy on disney plus there but we had to be sneaky since it was 14+ and we were only allowed to watch 12+ films and shows on the tv. we got caught but it was fun while it lasted. in terms of the other patients, they were alright. i didnt necessarily make friends with them but none of them were downright horrible which is good. im not really a people person anyways and would rather keep to myself. i also had to do physical health checks there like blood tests and doing your blood pressure. the reason why i got sent here in the first place is because of my psychosis so i was given anti-psychotics to deal with it. i was in year 11 during that time so i had my GCSE subjects to deal with at the education centre. not that i did them anyways due to being at forest house since i just got my predicted grades. so yeah that was my experience. some people may be able to recognise me from my admission from march to may. id like to say hello. im running out of characters so i wont mention the education centre more.
